- 200# test boxes recommended by UPS for shipping up to 40 lbs, while 32 ECT boxes are recommended for up to 30 lbs
- Pound test refers to bursting strength, with 200# test boxes able to withstand 200 lbs/sq.in. of side wall pressure before bursting
- ECT refers to stacking strength, with 32 ECT boxes able to withstand 32 lbs/linear inch of stacking weight before crushing
- Box strength guidelines (maximum weight per box) as per the Fiber Box Handbook and UPS guidelines:
- 32 ECT single wall: 65 lbs
- 200# single wall: 65 lbs
- 275# single wall: 95 lbs
